It was just a bad experience all around and really disappointing because I used to love it there. I explained that I was going to be paying for everyones rides home via UBER and she then continued to serve us drinks. Chicken was way too salty, apps came out messy, and the waitress seemed annoyed that she had to serve us (tip included for parties over six obviously), we ordered tons of drinks and then she wanted to shut off my friend (which I completely understand is her right to do, and as I long time waitress I support that) but she was really rude about it. Then the food came and was so disappointing. I was there to spend a lot of money on a celebration (I told them I was picking up the whole tab in advance, so not to worry about checks etc), on a slow night for them, and they couldn't have been less accommodating. We eventually ended up just sitting at high tops and ordering apps because it became so ridiculous. Then they wouldn't seat us until our entire group was there, but we had someone coming from Boston so we all stood around an empty bar waiting for our last friend to arrive. After a lot of friendly back and forth we went to the bar to have some drinks and figure it out. Meanwhile the restaurant was empty and it was a Monday night in Winter, so they could have just gone along with it but they had to make it an issue. When we arrived they said they didn't take reservations and didn't know why someone did. I called in advance and someone on the phone confirmed our party. They moved locations and I was excited to try out the new spot and decided to hold a small event for 8 people there. I hate writing bad reviews and as a long time Quincy Resident I was a big fan of the Fat Cat. We don’t live close by but certainly wouldn’t visit again More Our waitress was very patient with us and also the owner or manager not sure was also very nice, my cousin didn’t like his fish and chips saying the batter was too over cooked, after manager redid his fish and gave him a fish sandwich, my cousin said the fish was delicious. My daughter had the Mac and cheese which she said was delicious, we did grab a few drinks from the bar which were very good. Photos shot during filming for the pilot episode of a new Food Network series. nothing like it, not thick at all and had the flavor if bacon in it, I ordered s philly steak sandwich, awful, couldn’t tast steak, only ate half, my cousin didn’t eat it at all, the fried however were really good, my daughter had roasted turkey panini, again another disappointment, she literally had 2 bites, the turkey wasn’t the roasted turkey like Thanksgiving and she said the roll wasn’t tasty. The Ultimate Fat Mac Challenge at the Fat Cat Restaurant in Quincy, MA. I ordered the clam chowder, it was not like I expected, I love New England clam chowder, this was. First the apps we ordered were very good, calamari and fried pickles. Butterscotch tabby Quincy is back and hungrier than ever in this frisky follow-up to Fat Cat at Large A booth at the Bunyan County Harvest Fair seems like.
